Fishing was fun and everything, but it really wasn't cutting it in as far as raking in the dough anyway. Maybe life in the big city hadn't really prepared her for being out there on her own. Perhaps it was time for her to take a good long look at what she had to offer the SimWorld and then shoot for that with all of her might.
Of course, it didn't help that she was interested in MANY things - like drawing for example. Many had often told her that she had a good eye for drawing whatever she was looking at ... so that was one possibility. She also liked music and was planning to teach herself several instruments.
She also very much enjoyed getting her hands dirty. Well, not in the mafia/mob/opposite-side-of-the-law way. No, Anjel enjoyed sinking her hands into good tilled soil and assisting plants to grow in it. If she could gain enough experience, do some research, find some nice seeds, she might be able to make a good living at that - sell her produce in town. The sky was the limit!
Of course, Belle would be there for her through every step in her exploration. She would be her friend, her companion ... and her assistant in some cases. Belle was quite an amazing dog, doing things for Anjel when she hadn't even been trained to do them.
She made a REALLY good alarm clock. Anjel supposed that if she had a nine-to-five kind of a job, this would be a really good thing. But considering the fact that she was self-employed, she wasn't certain yet if it was a good thing or a bad thing that Belle was waking her up in the morning. However, as long as Anjel got a good night's sleep, she would let this sort of behavior slide ... for the time being.
That included cleaning up after Anjel's messes. This was entirely accidental, of course. There was no way in hell that Anjel would make her beloved pet eat from the dirty floor. Anjel was just ... kinda messy when it came to cooking. :">
Anjel was still on the fence regarding letting her animals up on the furniture. She didn't particularly mind as long as Belle and any other animals she decided to adopt didn't make a mess of them. Furniture was not cheap. Besides, Belle was just too adorable when she curled up on the love seat for Anjel to want to wake her just to tell her to sleep in her own (very expensive) doggy bed.
Besides, she was training Belle to hunt. She'd been reading in some of the pet magazines that dogs (especially) could be trained to hunt for things - not animals or anything, but things that could be sold for a lot of simoleons (like gems and ore and whatnot). That would definitely come in handy in the long run so letting her sleep on the furniture was probably a good trade off!
And hunting was thirsty work, too. Good thing Anjel lived on a property with its own water supply. It was nice and clean, too ... great for hard-working dogs to wet their whistle with.
It as a symbiotic relationship. Belle took care of Anjel and Anjel took care of Belle. Their relationship was give and take. That's what friends were for, right?
And of course, there was always time for playing around. Belle really enjoying rolling her ball around the yard. It gave her something fun to do when Anjel was working on one of her many hobbies.
And there was also one of her two favorite chew toys. Granted, Anjel usually hid the hot dog ... because the squeaky noise that it made was very ... annoying. >_<
She didn't often play alone though because Anjel also needed time to relax outside what with all the things she was doing to get a better paying job. They both enjoyed the occasional round of "Fetch!"
Playing "Chase" was also a great way for both of them to get a little bit of exercise. Granted, Anjel probably needed that more than Belle did since Belle's hunting also got her out and about.
Playing with the toys of the squeaky variety outdoors was fine with Anjel ... just as long as she had control over when the squeaking occurred. And Belle got a good workout with all the jumping that she had to do.
And then there was tug-of-war. As a puppy, Belle could rarely steal this toy from Anjel. But as an adult dog, Belle was actually quite strong. Sometimes after playing a rousing game of this, Anjel had to ice her shoulders because of how hard Belle had yanked. Wow ... she was a strong dog.
That was probably a good thing, too, because there was one area that Anjel would most definitely be training Belle in: Guarding. The ice cream truck was appearing quite regularly at her house ... especially at night. There was just something especially suspicious about that. She'd called the cops once to complain about it on many occasions (the damn thing just HAD to be stalking her), but they just laughed at her and told her to go buy some ice cream. So much for Simerica's finest. :Op

Aww, Belle and Anjel are so cute together! I love all of the pics you took of them playing and of Belle just running around, enjoying the world! I also like that Anjel is doing different things that she likes, trying to find a good way to make money with her talents. It's very realistic and also more interesting than just seeing her go to work at a rabbithole every day! Heh. Great stuff!!! :D
Anjel and Belle are so very cute together! It was fun watching them grow and play together. Hope Anjel gets Belle trained as a guard dog soon though. That ice cream truck is hanging around FAR too often!
